- 29 April - ESA and the Australian Space Agency announced construction of an additional 35m deep-space antenna in New Norcia, WA
- 3 May - finalists announced for the 2021 Australian Space Awards. Winners from 2020.
- 4 May - Quasar Satellite announced with $12M in funding from the CSIRO.
